About Us

Our Mission

In order to impact both teaching and learning, educators and students must first create a community and culture of safety and belonging–allowing everyone within a school building to learn and work together collectively.

At My Choice 2 Lead, our professional learning was developed for the entire building–not just teachers and leaders. Through a mixture of educator and staff professional learning alongside student-facing, in-classroom sessions, we work side-by-side with your school. This model creates a climate of belonging, grounded in trust and individual empowerment, resulting in an overall impact on teaching, learning, and leading.

Concepts such as self-awareness, building healthy relationships, managing conflict effectively, and engaging in positive interactions with peers and leaders are the tenets of what My Choice 2 Lead has to offer. Specific content topics can be customized to meet the needs of your unique setting.

Our Professional Learning Model Includes:

On-site training designed for administrators, teachers, and other school staff members.

In-classroom sessions for students in grades K-12.

DISC assessments for students and adults.

A train-the-trainer model for school-based champions of the work.

Ongoing coaching and observation both in and out of the classroom.

Keynote presentations.

DISC Assessments

My Choice 2 Lead is proud to offer DISC assessments for all professional learning and training. Our team assesses individual behavioral tendencies and how different styles impact learning, relationships, and team dynamics. Self-knowledge is the key to understanding others. We improve relationships through effective communication so that conflict and drama are minimized.

5-Step Process to Getting Started

  • Building a Safe Environment

When a group (family, team, organization) first comes together we set the foundation for emotional safety so every person can be as open as they feel comfortable to make the most of the learning experience.

  • Developing Self-Knowledge

We establish the first level of self-knowledge to better understand who we are through the Take Flight Learning DISC assessment and individual profile. We discover our natural tendencies in response to people, teams, conflict, and daily situations.

  • Reading People Right

Have you ever wondered why some people naturally gravitate towards one another? We all have different communication styles and it’s important to understand how each uniquely differs to communicate effectively with one another.

  • Minimizing the Drama

Learning communication styles helps us minimize unintended conflict between individuals. This helps us determine our different strengths and what groups can accomplish together. Our strengths working together improves group performance!

  • Confronting with Humility

Once we learn to communicate effectively, we can clearly and respectfully confront an individual when behavior is posing a problem. Through this process, we learn how to tailor our words, tone, and nonverbal expressions and extend empathy and humility. This is the key to preserving and deepening relationships.
